Mavis, currently serving on the Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) Board of Directors, says the 13,000 students in BGPS are her 13,000 reasons for seeking re-election to this office. Formerly a high school math teacher, she has a blueberry farm near Battle Ground. She attended Oklahoma State University, graduated from Phillips University, and was a graduate fellow at University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and Oregon State Medical School in biochemistry.
