Betty Sue is a 43 year resident of Clark County and is best known for her 20 years in elected office: eight years as a State Representative for the 18th District, and 12 years as a Clark County Commissioner. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Betty Sue has also taught high school, been a news reporter and hospital community affairs director. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Portland. Betty Sue is a 2010 recipient of the “Caring Hearts” award from Innovative Services Northwest and was named one of the Columbian’s 50 Most Powerful Women in 2006. She currently enjoys retirement, and says her most important work has been as a wife and mother of two grown children.
